Acceptable use
Last updated 28 October 2026
The rules for what goes into a show listing, a profile or a message. They exist so a collector can trust a listing and a vendor can trust an organiser.
Draft
This page is a draft and has not yet been reviewed. Details marked “to be confirmed” will be filled in before showme. opens to the public.
Shows must be real
- Only list a show you are running or are authorised to list.
- The date, venue, prices and table numbers must be accurate, and kept accurate.
- One listing per show. Do not duplicate a show to appear twice.
- Do not list a show at a venue you have not booked.
Profiles must be honest
- Do not pretend to be another person, vendor or organiser.
- Describe what you actually sell. Do not advertise counterfeit or stolen goods.
- Links must go where they say they go.
Messages are for the show
- Use messages to talk about a show, an application or a table.
- No harassment, threats, hate speech or sexual content.
- No spam, and no unsolicited advertising of unrelated things.
- Do not ask for, or share, anyone’s personal details beyond what the show needs.
Do not harm the service
- No scraping, automated account creation or attempts to get round access controls.
- No uploading of malware, or of images you do not have the right to use.
- Nothing illegal under UK law.
Reporting and what happens next
Every show, vendor, organiser and conversation has a Report option. Reports go to our team, who can remove content, correct a listing, or suspend an account. We do not tell the person reported who reported them, unless the law requires us to.
At a show, everyone with an account also follows the code of conduct, which is part of this policy.
