Cookie policy

Last updated 28 October 2026

showme. uses only what it needs to work. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, which is why you were not asked to accept any.

Draft
This page is a draft and has not yet been reviewed. Details marked “to be confirmed” will be filled in before showme. opens to the public.

What we store on your device

  • Sign-in cookies. Set when you sign in, so you stay signed in as you move between pages. Removed when you sign out.
  • The invite cookie. While showme. is invite only, typing the invite password sets a cookie so you are not asked again for thirty days. It holds a code derived from the password, nothing about you.
  • Your postcode. If you enter a postcode without an account, we keep it in a cookie so Discover can show shows near you next time. Clear it by removing the postcode.
  • A random visitor id. Kept in your browser’s storage and used only to count a show page as viewed once rather than every time you reload it. It is not linked to your account or shared with anyone.

These are strictly necessary for features you asked for, so the law does not require your consent for them.

Other services your browser talks to

The map loads its tiles from OpenFreeMap, which sets no cookies. We count page visits and page speed with Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which use no cookies and do not identify you. If we ever add something that does, we will ask first.

Controlling cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser’s settings. Blocking the sign-in cookies means you will not be able to stay signed in.
