Terms of use
Last updated 28 October 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses showme. By creating an account you agree to them, and to the privacy policy and the acceptable use policy.
What showme. is
showme. is a listing and booking tool for UK trading card shows, run by the operator of showme.. Organisers list their shows. Vendors apply for tables. Collectors find shows and follow the vendors they like.
We are not the organiser of any show listed here. A show is run by the organiser named on its page. When a vendor is accepted for a table, or a collector gets a ticket, the agreement is between them and that organiser. We pass the application along and keep the record.
Your account
- You must be 16 or over.
- You sign in with a link sent to your email address. Keep that inbox secure: whoever can read it can use your account.
- The details you give must be true, and you must keep them up to date.
- You are responsible for what is done through your account.
If you organise shows
- You confirm you have the right to run the event and to list the venue, and that the dates, prices and details you publish are accurate.
- You decide which vendors to accept. Decide fairly and tell people promptly; an application left unanswered is a vendor who cannot plan.
- Table fees and ticket prices shown on showme. are yours to set. Any terms you set for vendors are between you and them, and must not conflict with these terms.
- If you change the date or venue, or cancel, do it on showme. first so the people relying on the listing are told.
- You are responsible for the event itself: the venue, insurance, licences, safety and anything else the law requires of an event organiser.
If you take payments through showme.
You sell the tables and tickets; we provide the checkout. Payments go to a Stripe account in your name, and Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement applies to it as well as these terms. You choose when you are paid, in your Stripe Dashboard; we do not hold back any of your takings.
- You receive the price you set in full. Buyers pay a booking fee on top: showme.’s 5%, and Stripe’s fee at its standard UK card rate. Where Stripe charges more than that for a particular payment, showme. pays the difference out of its fee on that payment, up to the whole of that fee.
- Refunds and disputes come out of your Stripe balance. That includes any refund you give, the refunds when you cancel, and any payment a buyer disputes with their bank, with Stripe’s dispute fee. If they take your balance below zero, you owe Stripe the difference under your agreement with it; Stripe, not showme., carries that balance and recovers it from you.
- If you cancel a show, everyone who paid for it through showme. is refunded in full, whatever your refund rule says, and they are told. We start the refunds as soon as you cancel. We give back our 5%; the processing fees Stripe charged on those payments are not returned, so they come out of your balance with the rest.
- If you move a show to another date or venue, anyone who paid for it can choose a full refund instead, whatever your refund rule says, if they ask before the new date. You give it.
If you sell as a vendor
- You are responsible for what you sell, including that it is genuine, that you have the right to sell it, and that you meet your obligations to your customers.
- Applying for a table is a request, not a booking. It becomes a booking when the organiser accepts it.
- If you can no longer attend, withdraw on showme. so the table can go to someone else.
Payments
Unless a show’s page says otherwise, table fees and tickets are paid to the organiser directly, in the way the organiser tells you. showme. records what is owed and does not hold money for either side.
Where a show takes payment through showme., the payment is processed by Stripe on behalf of the organiser, who is the seller. The price includes a booking fee, shown as its own line at checkout and already included in the ticket prices on a show’s page. It is the same however you pay. Refunds and returns of tables follow the rule the organiser set for that show, shown before you pay, and your statutory rights are not affected.
Two things override the organiser’s rule. If a show is cancelled, everything you paid for it through showme. is refunded to your card automatically, booking fee included; it can take 5 to 10 days to reach you. If a show moves to another date or venue, you can ask the organiser for a full refund instead, as long as you ask before the new date.
What you post
You keep ownership of what you post: show descriptions, profiles, images and messages. You give us permission to store it, display it and share it as the service needs, for example showing a show page to the public or a profile to an organiser. You confirm you have the right to post it.
What may and may not be posted is set out in the acceptable use policy. We can remove content that breaks it.
Verified organisers
A “Verified” badge means we have reason, from our own dealings, to believe the organiser is who they say they are and runs real shows. It is not a guarantee of any particular event.
Suspending and closing accounts
You can delete your account at any time from your profile. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the acceptable use policy, puts other people at risk, or is used for fraud. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why.
Our responsibility to you
We provide showme. with reasonable care and skill, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we cannot check every listing. We are not responsible for a show being cancelled or changed, for an organiser’s or a vendor’s conduct, or for anything bought or sold at a show.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you use showme. as a consumer, you keep all of your statutory rights.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell account holders before it takes effect. Organisers and vendors, who use showme. for their business, are told at least 15 days before, unless the law or a risk to other people means it has to happen sooner. Continuing to use showme. after that means you accept the new terms.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
